The Alfa Romeo clover leaf sticker ( quadrifoglio in Italian ) is an emblem featured on high end Alfa Romeo Cars. The clover leaf is as a totem of good luck. There is a rather interesting history on how this became a badge on high spec and sportier Alfa Romeo Cars.
During the early days of car racing Enzo Ferrari, Ugo Sivocci, Giuseppe Campari and Antonio Ascari were part of Alfa Romeo's factory racing team, but inspite of being very talented Ugo Silvocci rarely won any race. So to change his spell of bad luck he got this clover leaf emblem painted on his car.. and surprisingly he won the Targa Floria in 1923 after having this pasted on the car.
But sadly Ugo died the same year during a practice session - but the clover leaf was not yet painted on his Alfa Romeo P1 when the accident occurred. The clover leaf is now used as a reminder to the rich racing history of Alfa Romeo.
